END-TO-END PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

From your goal to a live product

It starts with definition. You bring the goal and the vision; we shape what the product needs to be and take it all the way: planning, design, development, QA, release, and continuous improvement. One partner, one point of accountability, and none of the gaps that open up when responsibility is split across teams.

This model fits when what you need is a result

You define the outcome. We assemble the team, run the process, and report on progress against the goal. You stop managing capacity, sequencing, and handoffs.

It fits when you have:

A clear business goal and someone with authority to make product decisions.

No internal delivery capacity, or capacity that is fully committed elsewhere.

A product that needs to exist, or an existing one that needs modernizing.

A preference for one accountable partner over coordinating several vendors.

One team for everything your product needs, from security to app growth.

Ideal for

Fast-growing startups building a first product
Companies modernizing a legacy product
Teams launching AI initiatives without an internal AI team

What you get

Five things that change the moment delivery becomes our responsibility instead of yours.

One point of accountability

One team owns your product from the first decision to the last release. The context stays in one place, and there's always someone who knows your product inside out.

Predictable delivery

You always know where things stand: sprint cadence, a defined release process, milestones and demos you can actually see, and reporting on outcomes, not task counts.

Senior judgment in the room

Product, design, engineering, QA, and DevOps in one team, so the hard calls get made by people who understand all five. We've shipped in your industry before, so we catch what the product needs before it becomes a problem: performance, security, and maintainability.

AI built in

We stay on top of a fast-moving AI landscape and put it to work on your product. You also get visibility into how we use it: AI adoption, team performance, and token usage. Spend is tracked per feature, with budgets set before launch.

Scope that flexes

Work with us across the whole product lifecycle or just the stages you need. You're not locked into a fixed sequence.

Ownership, stated plainly

You keep the product and the code. We carry delivery risk.

Who is on the team

We build each Managed Product Delivery team around the outcome, not a fixed template. A typical composition:

Product Owners

Own communication, sequencing, risk, and reporting. Your single point of contact.

Tech Lead

Owns architecture, technical decisions, and code quality. Turns product goals into engineering plans.

Developers

Mobile, web, backend, and full stack, staffed to your product, not a template. Flutter, React, Node, Python, Kotlin, Swift, and more. We pick the mix of senior and semi-senior talent the product needs.

UX/UI Designer

Owns the product experience: user flows, interface, and design system.

QA Engineer

Automated testing, built into the sprint rather than bolted on at the end.

DevOps Engineer

CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and release pipelines.

AI Engineer

When the product needs it: LLM integration, agents, evaluation, and production AI.

How the team is set up

We define team size, seniority mix, and weekly hours per role in your proposal. Every role works with AI day to day, and we train, coach, and monitor how it's used so we get the most out of it. On tokens, we use the maxed-out allowance on Somnio's account by default, and if you'd rather cap it, we set the limit together.

A flexible product development journey

Work with us across the full lifecycle, or just the stages where you need us.

Product Strategy

In a focused sprint, we define strategy and the MVP, turning market standards and user needs into a scalable product foundation.

  • Understand your business goals and users
  • Research the market and competitors
  • Define the value proposition and what sets it apart
  • Prioritize problems and opportunities
  • Define the MVP and its scope
  • Validate assumptions with prototypes and real users
  • Define the architecture and technical strategy
  • Set KPIs and success metrics
  • Build the roadmap and priorities
  • Measure results and iterate after launch

Product Design

Visual identity and user experience, from ideation to usability testing, so the product stays coherent and centered on the user.

Product Development

Custom development across devices, turning the definition into a working product.

Launch

Rollout planning across timing, awareness, and market fit, with engagement measured from day one.

Product Strategy

We capture and analyze product data to guide what comes next, evolving the product to grow revenue and retention.

Cross-platform development

The Flutter Advantage

Flutter compiles to native code on every platform from a single codebase, so shipping across iOS, Android, and Web doesn't mean three teams, three timelines, and three budgets to keep in sync.

Our managed delivery teams build it once and launch everywhere,
with native performance on each platform, so more of your budget goes into the product itself and less into keeping platforms aligned. It's one of the deepest capabilities on our teams: Somnio is one of only five official Google Flutter Consultants worldwide.

5 steps to go
before kicking off your project with us

Simple and easy, take a look!

1

Contact us!

You schedule a meeting or fill out our contact form. We'll be in touch to find a suitable time to discuss your requirements.

2

Discovery and technical Meetings

We gather your requirements and pain points while providing relevant information about our company, ensuring a clear understanding of your goals and how we can address your needs effectively.

3

Tailored proposal

Through an exchange of documentation, we create a Tailored Proposal that encompasses project details, offered services, work process, team assignment, budget, timelines, and methodologies.

4

Acceptance and Agreements

Upon accepting the proposal, we proceed to the Acceptance and Agreements phase, where we sign the necessary contracts and finalize all formalities. This stage also involves planning for the project's Kick-off, setting the stage for a smooth and successful project.

5

Kick Off!

Your project officially begins! We strive to commence the project within a prompt timeframe, typically within 3 to 4 weeks from our initial contact.

The right size for
your product

Freelancers and small shops

Bandwidth, resources, and specialized skills run out when a project gets complex. Yours outgrows them, and you carry the risk.

Somnio

Direct access to senior talent. Agile and adaptable. Focused on your outcomes. Quality delivery backed by established practices. A partner who stays as you grow.

Large consulting and outsourcing firms

Your project competes for attention with much larger accounts. Less visibility, slower decisions, and a team you didn't choose.

What our clients say

Questions worth asking

Still have some doubts?
No worries, here are some frequently asked questions that may help you.

What is managed product delivery?

Managed product delivery is an engagement where an external partner takes full ownership of building a product or workstream: planning, design, engineering, QA, release, and iteration. You define the business outcome and approve decisions. Somnio runs the process and stays accountable for the result.

How is this different from staff augmentation?

Ownership of delivery. In staff augmentation, you manage the work, and we supply people. Here we manage the work and report to you on outcomes. See the comparison above for which one your situation calls for.

Do we lose control of our product?

You keep final product decisions, sign-off, the code and the IP. What you hand over is the running of delivery: staffing, sequencing, sprint management and release. Roadmap decisions are proposed by us and approved by you.

How long before we see working software?

Kickoff is typically 1 to 2 weeks from first contact. From kickoff, the first working increment depends on whether the product is defined. If it is not, we start with a definition phase.

How do you price this?

Time and Materials with two-week sprints, or fixed-scope phases where the scope is genuinely fixed. The tailored proposal specifies team composition, weekly hours per role, timeline, and budget before anything starts.

What happens if we want to bring the product in-house later?

We plan for that from day one. Documentation, architecture decisions, and handover are part of delivery, not a separate project, so your team can take the product in house whenever you're ready, with the full picture already in place.

Can you take over a product someone else built?

Yes, and it starts with an assessment of the codebase, architecture and technical debt before we commit to a plan.

Who reports to us, and how often?

Reporting comes from your Product Owner, on a cadence you set. We hold as many meetings as you need, usually a weekly session for backlog refinement, plus sprint reviews every two weeks as standard, with progress reported on outcomes, not task counts.

Can we start with one stage instead of the whole lifecycle?

Yes. Many engagements start at Strategy or at Development and expand. See the lifecycle section above.
