FlutterConf LATAM 2025 brought the Flutter community together in Quito, Ecuador, for another unforgettable edition of the region’s most important Flutter event. Developers, engineers, product leaders, and enthusiasts from across Latin America joined forces to explore the future of Flutter, AI, and cross-platform development.
With more than a dozen sponsors supporting the conference and hundreds of attendees filling the venue, the energy and excitement were impossible to miss.
At Somnio Software, we’ve proudly supported FlutterConf LATAM as sponsors since its very first edition. This year was no different, we had the chance to meet many of you at our booth, where our trivia game was a hit, with lots of participants taking home prizes and smiles.
Somnio talks: From Flutter to AI and beyond
Two of our Somniers took the stage to share their expertise and vision for the future of product development:
- Beyond the code: From Flutter developer to AI-Powered product builder. Gianfranco Papa’s talk explored how developers can go further than frameworks, embracing AI to design and launch smarter digital products.
- From schema to widget: How code generation keeps your database and Flutter app in sync Juan José León showed how code generation can transform your database schema into a true single source of truth. By connecting Firestore + Protobuf and Postgres + pg_graphql + Ferry, he revealed how to cut duplication, boost type safety, and accelerate development. And this is just the beginning, very soon we’ll share a deep-dive blog to explore it in more detail.
Both talks are available on video for those who couldn’t join live. And of course, these were only two of the many incredible sessions delivered by speakers from across LATAM and beyond.

Community at the core
As always, the real magic of FlutterConf LATAM was found in the community. The hallways, networking breaks, and after-hours gatherings were filled with energy, conversations, and connections. Our booth became a meeting point for developers eager to share ideas, test their Flutter knowledge in our trivia, and take home some Somnio swag.
What’s next: Cancún 2026
The announcement at the closing ceremony confirmed it: next year’s FlutterConf LATAM will take place in Cancún, Mexico. We can’t wait to meet the community again in another vibrant setting, with new talks, fresh insights, and more opportunities to push Flutter to new frontiers.
Final thoughts
