yuv® seeked us to create the yuv® app, that presents unique set of challenges and opportunities. In an era where constant connectivity can no longer be taken for granted, ensuring that professional colorists have uninterrupted access to their color formulation tools is paramount.
The solution
Bluetooth connection
The yuv® lab offers a smart solution for uninterrupted creativity: Bluetooth connectivity and an internal battery lasting up to 3 days. This setup ensures colorists can use the app and device without an internet connection, making it perfect for any setting. The long battery life and wireless connection keep the creative flow going, ensuring that professionals can focus on their art, anytime, anywhere.
The result
The yuv® lab is a groundbreaking hair dye dispensing machine that offers unparalleled precision in dye release, consistency in formulas and mixes, and the ability to view and save client colors. It operates on a pay-per-gram basis, selling ink cartridges while significantly reducing waste by up to 35%. This intelligent dispenser uses tags on the bowls to identify what to dispense, ensuring the right amount of product is used every time.
The accompanying yuv® app not only manages the color mixing process to minimize waste but also provides recommendations on the quantity to dispense. It's capable of creating millions of colors from just 11 base tubes, offering endless creative possibilities for professional colorists. Additionally, the app tracks usage and notifies when restocking is needed, streamlining salon operations and ensuring colorists can focus on their art without interruption.
