Huawei launched its next-generation smartwatch on HarmonyOS NEXT, introducing MyBotPal, an AI-powered chatbot that combines voice interaction, haptic feedback, and smart integrations to deliver a seamless, secure, and privacy-focused experience for users.

Navigating limits with precision
Launching a complex voice assistant on Huawei’s proprietary ecosystem meant navigating new technical requirements, approval processes, and ensuring compliance with strict privacy guidelines. MyBotPal needed to support voice interaction, offline mode, multilingual functionality, and secure integrations, all within a wearable environment.

End-to-end development on HarmonyOS NEXT
We led the full development under a fixed-scope model, with continuous testing and structured demos alongside Huawei. Our team managed front-end and back-end work, integrated third-party services, and streamlined AppGallery approvals to keep the project on track and optimized for HarmonyOS NEXT.
The result
The app was successfully launched on Huawei’s AppGallery, fully meeting all technical and functional requirements. It supports four languages, ensures privacy with encryption and minimal data retention, and enables features like TTS/STT, GPS, weather updates, and haptic feedback, delivering a responsive and accessible smartwatch experience.
